[Video] Neill Blomkamp’s Visionary Genius Continues With New Short ‘ADAM: The Mirror’
As we told you yesterday, Unity Technologies, creator of the world’s most popular creation engine, has partnered with Neill Blomkamp and his Oats Studios on two short films. Blomkamp has directed the next installments in the ADAM franchise, ADAM: The Mirror and ADAM: The Prophet.
Out of the Unite Austin 2017 Keynote last night, Adam: The Mirror has just made its way online, picking up after the events of the 2016 short film, ADAM.
In the short, the cyborg hero discovers a clue about what and who he is.
“Created and produced by Blomkamp’s OATS Studios using the latest version of Unity 2017, these short films showcase the power of working within an integrated real-time environment – empowering the team to build, texture, animate, light, and render all in Unity to deliver high-quality graphics at a fraction of the cost and time of a normal film production cycle.”

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
