Several clips have been released from the Steven S. DeKnight-directed Pacific Rim Uprising, opening on March 23, 2018. The footage focuses on the characters inside the Jaeger and the power of teamwork, although we get to see two Jaegers kick each other’s ass, as well as a brief battle with a kaiju. I know I’ve been dogging this movie since the first trailer, but I could barely even make it through these clips without falling asleep. I think we’re past enormous CGI movies with battles in the streets. No?
