Published

Unlike the other major holidays, we haven’t yet gotten a definitive horror movie about Easter, but you can do worse than a marathon of the Critters franchise on Easter Sunday. After all, eggs are an important element of the franchise, and let’s not forget that the Crites kill the Easter bunny in Critters 2. Hey, that’s good enough for us!

Celebrating the Critters franchise’s tie to Easter, our friend The Homicidal Homemaker just unleashed her latest recipe video: homemade, peanut butter-filled Crite eggs!

Every spring, the store shelves are filled with some of my favorite treats – marshmallow chicks, egg-shaped chocolate malt balls, and of course, my ultimate favorite…peanut butter filled eggs,” says Kaci. “But making peanut butter filled eggs is super easy to do at home, and as usual, I wanted to put a horror twist on them, and the first thing that came to mind was the Easter Egg Hunt scene from Critters 2. So this year, fill those Easter baskets up with these homemade jumbo peanut butter eggs, inspired by Critters.”

Learn how to make your own delicious Crite eggs in the video below!

If you haven’t yet checked out Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corporation’s Resident Evil Survival Unit, the free-to-play real-time strategy game has just announced a new collaboration with another Capcom property in Monster Hunter to entice prospective players. Kicking off on July 2 and running until July 29, the limited-time collaboration will introduce Monster Hunter–inspired elements into the post-apocalyptic world of Resident Evil Survival Unit, adding large-scale monster encounters to the game’s strategic systems.

Details on the collaboration are being kept under wraps for now, but during the event, players will be able to participate in collaboration-exclusive in-game events that will earn them special rewards inspired by the Monster Hunter series. We do get a brief teaser trailer for the upcoming event, which in addition to teasing various monsters for players to battle, also promises new units for players to recruit.

Set in a parallel world inspired by the Resident Evil universe, the game features an original storyline and real-time strategic gameplay designed for mobile platforms. Players will build bases, secure resources, and battle creatures in a collapsed city. Iconic characters such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine appear throughout the game, allowing for team formations that bring together characters from across the Resident Evil franchise, enabling unique combinations not seen in the original titles.

Resident Evil Survival Unit is available on iOS and Android devices.
