Welp, I watched this new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom spot, and it looks like you’re going to as well. Let’s talk about it. It’s spoiler heavy and ruins a major turn of events, while also revealing that Blue’s DNA is central to the film’s plot. Blue, of course, is the Velociraptor that’s been raised since birth by Chris Pratt‘s Owen. He’s sent back to the island to save the dino, which results in the birth of a new and even more terrifying reptile – the Indoraptor. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. One of the coolest shots from the trailer shows the Indoraptor attacking a young child in their room. In this spoiler heavy trailer, Blue comes to the rescue to save the child and Owen from the vicious creation. Damn, I wish I hadn’t seen that…
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning for the sequel, which also stars Jeff Goldblum, along with Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones. Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, wrote the script for the sequel with Derek Connolly.
“It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.“
