If you’ve seen Panos Cosmatos’ Beyond the Black Rainbow, then you know exactly what to expect in the first trailer for his action-thriller Mandy, which flaunts a scene with a chainsaw-wielding Nicolas Cage!
“Set in 1983, Cage plays Red Miller, a broken and haunted man, who hunts the unhinged religious sect who slaughtered the love of his life.”
The trailer goes full-Cage, with the actor digging deep into his arsenal of rage performances. This time, he confronts a cult who has kidnapped his Mandy. The footage is bleak, dark, hellish even, and promises a bloody descent into madness. Man, I’ve got to see this as soon as possible. Too bad we’ll be waiting for its release until September 14th.

Andrea Riseborough and Linus Roache also star in the film, with Ned Dennehy, Olwen Fouéré, Richard Brake, Bill Duke and Sam Louwyk rounding out the cast for the project.
