Two Scarred Women Collide In ‘The Cleaning Lady’ FrightFest Trailer
Jon Knautz, who will best be remembered by horror fans for his ultra-fun Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, as well as the excellent The Shrine, is returning to the genre with The Cleaning Lady, which will World Premiere at the London FrightFest Friday, August 24th (get tickets).
In the film:
“As Alice struggles to end her affair with a married man, she finds solace in Shelly, a reclusive burn victim who cleans Alice’s apartment. As their friendship grows, so does Shelly’s twisted obsession with Alice. When Shelly learns of Alice’s on-and-off affair, she takes matters into her own hands in order to cleanse Alice of her bad behavior. “
The Cleaning Lady will reteam Knautz with the star of his Goddess of Love, Alexis Kendra, as well as SAG-nominee Stelio Savante (Eisenstein in Guanajuato, Jo the Medicine Runner), Rachel Alig, and Elizabeth Sandy, who also appeared in Goddess of Love.

Deadline details, “the English-language film will tell the story of a group of people, including two young women, who are trapped upside down on a roller coaster taken over by a mysterious saboteur threatening to drop them all one-by-one to their deaths.”
Film Bridge International is launching the project for sales ahead of the Cannes market.
Chad Law and Christopher Jolley wrote the screenplay.
“Thrill Ride is exactly the type of high-concept based thriller that our customers are looking for in the marketplace,” said Film Bridge’s Ellen Wander and Jordan Dykstra. “With Ryuhei at the helm, we know his vision and execution will deliver thrills of the highest quality.”
