Bloody Disgusting just scored this creepy exclusive clip from Luke Jaden‘s BOO!, his indie horror film that stars Moonlight’s Jaden Piner, Jill Marie Jones (“Sleepy Hollow”, “Ash vs. Evil Dead”), Aurora Perrineau (Passengers), Charley Palmer Rothwell (Darkest Hour, Beast), Dwight Henry (12 Years a Slave) and Rob Zabrecky (A Ghost Story). In the clip, a woman wakes up to a baby crying and follows a lengthy umbilical cord to the unknown…

Set to have its World Premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival on Sunday, October 14th:

“BOO! follows a family that battles an unseen force as they soon realize they must band together in order to stop the unimaginable terror.”

Married with two kids, James and Elyse are struggling to keep it together. Along with the couple’s own rifts, their daughter, Morgan, is hiding her own suicidal thoughts, while younger son Caleb channels his suppressed emotions through troublingly macabre artwork. One night, their true test arrives: a strange Halloween game left on their doorstep that, legend has it, leaves a curse on those who choose not to play. Unfortunately, that’s the choice this family makes—and evil spirits of all kinds are ready to make them pay.

Jaden co-wrote the screenplay with Diane Michelle.  The film hails from Voltage Pictures (Dallas Buyer’s Club, The Hurt Locker, Colossal), Automatik (Destroyer, Midnight Special, Operation Finale, Insidious, Upgrade, Sinister), Bradley Pilz Productions (The Wolf Hour), Midland Entertainment and Bardha Productions (Cash Only).

Phil Wurtzel of Midland Entertainment and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik Entertainment produce. Bradley Pilz executive produced, with Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (SiREN, My Super Dark Times) co-executive producing.

Filming took place in Detroit last year.

Here’s a look at the brand new festival one-sheet that features the classic sheet ghost choosing this suburban family:

Horror movie fanatic who co-founded Bloody Disgusting in 2001. Producer on Southbound, V/H/S/2/3/94, SiREN, Under the Bed, and A Horrible Way to Die. Chicago-based. In the film, Billy Hughes (Marina Zudina) is a mute special effects artist working on a low budget American slasher movie being shot in Russia. Accidentally locked in the studio late one night, she stumbles upon two men shooting what appears to be a snuff film. Having borne witness to their victim’s final moments, Billy desperately flees – but this is only the start of a protracted night of terror, drawing her and her friends into a tangled web of intrigue, involving the KGB, the Moscow police… and a mysterious crime kingpin known as “The Reaper.”

Arrow Video previews the new release, “Filmed on location in Moscow and co-starring Fay Ripley (Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein) and Evan Richards (Society), Mute Witness is an unpredictable, nerve-shreddingly tense viewing experience. Now fully restored in 4K and presented alongside a host of new and recently unearthed bonus materials, there has never been a better opportunity to discover – or rediscover – this gem of 90s thriller cinema.”
