It’s always fun when a film calls back to its predecessors and that’s exactly what happens in this brand new TV spot for Terminator: Dark Fate, which debuted this weekend during the NBA Finals.
While the new footage from the Tim Miller-directed sequel could be omitted from the final product when it hits theaters November 1st, the final shot carries the cheer-worthy moment when Linda Hamilton‘s Sarah Connor drops a grenade off a bridge before exclaiming “I’ll be back” and strutting off-screen.
The moment is yet another directive to the audience to recall the classic line in both James Cameron‘s The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, in which Arnold Schwarzenegger delivers the line as the T-800. This new sequel retcons all other sequels.
