‘Ready or Not’ Trailer Plays a Hilariously Bloody Game of Hide and Seek!
We’ve found the first trailer for Fox Searchlight’s Ready or Not, the latest horror offering from Radio Silence (who directed the “10/31/98” segment in our V/H/S as well as wrap story in our Southbound).
The film follows a young bride (Samara Weaving) as she joins her new husband’s (Mark O’Brien) rich, eccentric family (played by Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
The game they play is Hide and Seek (hence the title Ready or Not), and the trailer promises not only buckets of blood, but tons of laughs. Looking like a horror version of Clue, the sets are extravagant, the costume design is stupendous, and Weaving (“Ash vs Evil Dead”, Mayhem, The Babysitter) looks like she’s going to put on a superstar performance (because she is a superstar).
Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin directed with Chad Villella executive producing.
The film will be released by Fox Searchlight on August 23, 2019.
