You can’t escape what you can’t see.
Universal has released a brand new trailer for Blumhouse and writer/director Leigh Whannell‘s (Upgrade) The Invisible Man today, and it’s loaded with all kinds of new footage.
The first minute of the 2-minute, 43-second trailer gives us more insight into the horrifying situation that Elisabeth Moss‘s character is experiencing even before the supernatural terror of being stalked by an invisible man comes into play, trapped in an abusive relationship with the sociopath who ultimately becomes invisible and ratchets the abuse up to eleven.
The latter half of the new trailer teases some tense, scary sequences involving the title character, including an extended look at the scene previewed in the film’s Super Bowl spot.

“Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid).”
“But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.“
