Last week, Shudder’s 5-part docuseries “Cursed Films” (read our review) kicked off with a profile on The Exorcist. It continues tomorrow with two new episodes, one that focuses on The Omen, while the other tackles Tobe Hooper and Steven Spielberg‘s terrifying Poltergeist, which has more than a handful of dark rumors attached to it.
One of the craziest stories is teased in this exclusive clip that alleges the filmmakers used real corpses in the first film’s infamous swimming pool sequence. The “curse” ironically mirrors the catalyst for the Freeling family’s haunting and continual torment by several ghosts.
The final episodes, covering both The Twilight Zone: The Movie and The Crow, stream on April 16th.
