Zach Galligan Reunites With Gizmo for New ‘Gremlins’ Commercial from Mountain Dew! [Video]

The Gremlins franchise knows a little something about follow-ups being as good as the original (and maybe even better), and since that’s the tagline for Mountain Dew Zero Sugar, the soda-makers have enlisted the help of a certain little Mogwai to promote the drink.

The adorable Gizmo reunites with Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch star Zach Galligan in a new commercial released today, which feels like a Super Bowl spot even if it isn’t.

It’s probably safe to say that Galligan is playing his franchise character Billy Peltzer in the commercial, breaking a classic Mogwai rule when he offers Gizmo (voiced by Howie Mandel, reprising his role from the movies!) a sip of his soda. The commercial also introduces Billy’s daughter (played by Samantha Bartow), who has a mischievous Mogwai pet of her own!

Now that’s the Gremlins 3 we need to see.

Check out the commercial below, and keep your eyes peeled for the return of Gizmo and the Gremlins franchise with HBO’s animated series “Secrets of the Mogwai” later this year!

During the Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition, publisher Wired Productions and developer LKA released a three-minute developer presentation for psychological horror game When Sirens Fall Silent, offering players a deeper look into the mystery, characters, and unsettling world of the upcoming psychological thriller.

Following two creative story-based cinematic reveals (which you can watch here and here) that introduced the game’s atmosphere, themes, and central mystery, LKA Founder and Director Luca Dalcò guides viewers further into the world of the forgotten people, revealing more of what awaits players as they uncover the truth behind a series of kidnappings and murders.

From the creators of Martha is Dead, When Sirens Fall Silent casts players as Mila, a policewoman in early 1990s Rome, Italy. Haunted by a past she’s desperate to escape, Mila is thrust into a high-profile case of kidnappings and murders. As the investigation unravels, you must not only save her from herself, but also from being consumed by the violence, mystery and confusion.

Featuring a branching, multi-layered narrative dialogue system, with a huge focus on verbal and emotional interaction, investigation and subsequent choices, players will be faced with difficult real-world topics. LKA aims to “pull no punches” with its story, but also hints at a few surprises along the way.

When Sirens Fall Silent is currently in development for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
