‘The Vincent Price Legacy’ Documentary Features Rob Zombie, Joe Dante, John Landis, Alice Cooper, More [Trailer]
Vincent Price is a name that echoes through the halls of classic horror. With his distinctive voice, sharp features, and inimitable flair for theatrical finesse, he left his mark on generations of filmmakers, actors, artists, and movie fans.
The Vincent Price Legacy, billed as the world’s first feature-length documentary about The Master of Menace, explores the man behind the legend through conversations with his family, friends, colleagues, historians, and fans.
It features interviews with Price’s daughter Victoria Price, filmmakers Rob Zombie (The Devil’s Rejects), Joe Dante (Gremlins), John Landis (Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”), Mick Garris (The Stand), William Malone (House on Haunted Hill), Mark Goldblatt (Dead Heat), and Kenneth Johnson (An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe), and screenwriters Dana Gould (“The Simpsons”), C. Courtney Joyner (From a Whisper to a Scream), and Steve Haberman (Dracula: Dead and Loving It).
The line-up also includes actors David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil), Caroline Munro (The Abominable Dr. Phibes), and Elizabeth Shepherd (The Tomb of Ligeia), special effects artist Steve Johnson (Ghostbusters), musicians Alice Cooper and Rob Usher (The Other), film historians David Del Valle, Peter Fuller, and Jonathan Rigby, and YouTubers Michael & Jessica Kolence (The Grimm Life Collective).
German filmmaker Laurent Ohmansiek directs the 136-minute film, which is expected to debut in the fall. Victoria Price produces.
Sunrise Films has announced the official North American release of William Bagley‘s horror comedy Hold the Fort, and it’s accompanied by an energetic new trailer.
Hold the Fort debuts on digital platforms on June 23.
In the film, “Lucas and Jenny think their life is finally coming together when the couple become homeowners. Little do they know that their new house comes with a big catch. Lucas and Jenny soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they become trapped in a battle between their Homeowners Association and an onslaught of monsters from hell. The horror-comedy takes the timely concern of home-ownership and wraps this up in an entertaining action-packed thrill ride.“

William Bagley writes and directs, in addition to producing with Smith, Matt Dodd, Luke Williams, and Tim Reis (Adult Swim Yule Log).
Ahead of the release, Bagley said, “My goal with this film was to make a hilarious, fast-paced thrill ride while also telling a great story with heart. Hopefully, through all the blood, laughs, fights, and gags, you leave the film feeling inspired to tackle whatever life throws at you.“
Hold the Fort premiered at Fantasia last summer before going on to play FrightFest London, Toronto After Dark, and Beyond Fest.
I wrote in my review, “It’s an infectiously charming assemblage of jokes and monster vignettes bound together by a barebones plot with not much on its mind beyond delivering an entertaining time.”
