E3: Square Enix’s Showing The Goods At E3
Square Enix popped out the only thing of theirs that I had been pining over (FFXIII) in March, so anything else they show me at E3 will seem insignificant. EXCEPT! The 3rd Birthday. Which is the 3rd and long long long awaited Parasite Eve game. Which I am DYING to get my hands on.

They are somewhat joining together with a few other companies to show off their games. Head past the break for the large list of games. Headlining this year’s booth will be four of the hottest franchises in the industry from both the SQUARE ENIX and EIDOS brands. Under SQUARE ENIX, the company delivers the highly anticipated MMORPG experience FINAL FANTASY XIV, the next installment in the iconic franchise that has sold more than 97 million units worldwide. For hand held platforms are The 3rd Birthday and KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep for the PSP system, a prequel that will unlock the secrets to the beloved franchise, as well as KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded and FINAL FANTASY: THE 4 HEROES OF LIGHT for Nintendo DS, a charming new adventure by the creators of the FINAL FANTASY III and IV remakes. Under the EIDOS brand will be IO Interactive’s KANE & LYNCH 2: DOG DAYS, reuniting gaming’s most notorious criminals in a raw shooter that introduces a new visual experience inspired by documentary film. Additionally, the year’s biggest surprise announcement, DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION, the long-awaited next installment, will be showcased for attendees anxious to get a first look at the newly imagined cyber renaissance world that will revolutionize the gaming experience – just as the original DEUS EX did a decade ago.
Downloadable titles such as LARA CROFT AND THE GUARDIAN OF LIGHT, The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Chaotic Conflicts and The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Puzzling Pages continue the pedigree of great franchises in gaming while staying true to the Square Enix heritage of providing the best and most immersive experiences in interactive entertainment. The booth will also feature Square Enix’s partnerships with North American developers, including FRONT MISSION EVOLVED, being developed by Double Helix Games, and DUNGEON SIEGE® 3, being developed by Obsidian Entertainment Inc.
“We will be showing a truly diverse range of games at E3 this year which illustrate the strength and breadth in our product portfolio,” said Phil Rogers, chief executive officer of Square Enix Europe. “Individually each game offers something original and exciting to make its own impact at the show and collectively our line-up characterizes the global ambition of Square Enix.”

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 Brings ‘Fortnite’ to Life with New ‘Fortnitemares’ Scare Zone
Epic’s Fortnite is heading for another crossover, this time with Universal Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights. The title’s annual Fortnitemares Halloween event will be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort in a new scare zone, kicking off on August 28.
For those not in the know, Scare zones are themed, open-air areas where guests and actors roam around freely.
This is the first time Fortnite will be featured during the after-hours event, which will run from August 28 until November 1. Tickets and packages are on sale now at the official site.
Per the press release, guests will enter Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground that’s been “overcome with a threatening force.” From there, fans will meet up with the Battle Bus, featuring familiar Fortnitemares characters, including “a few new additions exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights.”
And of course, there will be Fortnitemares merchandise available for fans, including a graphic t-shirt, decal set, and an acrylic collectible piece.
Fortnitemares won’t be the only featured property at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Killer Klowns from Outer Space will also be getting its own scare zone. Sinners, Stranger Things, Hellraiser, and Evil Dead Burn will also be part of the event, though they will be relegated to their own specific houses.
And while it’s early yet, gamers can probably expect Fortnitemares to return to Fortnite this October.
