Check Out All These Alternate Costumes from The Mercenaries 3D

Published

Resident Evil will soon be making its first foray into mobile 3D gaming, and while that alone is pretty damn exciting, the idea of alternate costumes might even be more exciting than mowing down waves of non-zombies in 3D. Maybe. For some people. Like, the people that actually take time to think about what they should wear, as opposed to my morning technique that includes reaching into my closet in sleepy daze, grabbing something soft and throwing it on. For those people, alternate costumes are a pretty big deal.

So after the jump you can find the secondary costumes for the game’s eight playable characters, and most of them are pretty cool. HUNK has a badass Grim Reaper outfit with knived boots, Wesker has a cool mutation going on that he should probably have a Dermatologist take a look at, and Clair’s taken a more formal approach to kickassery. Then there are the more bizarre ones, like Barry’s patriotic threads and Rebecca’s… naughty nurse costume? No one’s judging, maybe I just don’t understand the strategic thinking behind dressing up as a nurse when fighting for your life. I’d prefer the tight leather straps of a dominatrix outfit myself, something form fitting to show off my stunning behind.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D takes the popular Mercenaries mode from the last two games and makes it into a full game with eight characters with dozens of unlockable skills and abilities, and 30 missions. You can expect some familiar stages from Resident Evil 4 and 5, that can be played with a friend in the game’s two-player co-op.

Resident Evil gives us the chance to say “is that a plagas in your pants or are you just happy to see me?” to strangers on our commutes when the game releases on June 28th.

Jason Universe Team Teases “A Thrilling Lineup of New Projects”

Published

We have the Jason Universe to thank for the recent return of Jason Voorhees, with the short film Sweet Revenge and Jason’s arrival in Dead by Daylight helping to bring the hockey mask-wearing horror icon back into our lives. What else is planned, you ask?

In a chat with Variety this week, Jason Universe’s Robbie Barsamian teases that everything we’ve seen up to this point is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Jason’s return.

“We’ve been busy behind the scenes laying the foundation that everyone is finally starting to see come to life, but this is just the tip of the iceberg,” Barsamian teases.

“We have a thrilling lineup of new projects that we can’t wait to share more details on soon.”

Barsamian also notes during the chat with Variety, “We want to give fans fresh takes on what they love most about Jason and continue to expand his world in authentic ways that resonate with horror fans today.” One of those expansions will take the form of the upcoming Peacock and A24 series “Crystal Lake,” which stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees.

“The Crystal Lake TV series will take fans back in time to tell the story of how Pamela Voorhees came to be the mother of all slashers,” Barsamian tells Variety this week.

“Crystal Lake” premieres October 15 on Peacock.

Callum Vinson (“Chucky”) is playing young Jason in “Crystal Lake,” which will tell the origin story of the masked slasher who has stalked the grounds of Crystal Lake for decades.

Last year, the Jason Universe team had teased that a new movie and a new video game are top priorities for the near future. But at this time we have no updates on either front.

Stay tuned for more from the Jason Universe.
