Released to Steam and the Epic Games Store at the beginning of the year, Take It Studio has announced that they will be bringing waleedzo’s first-person narrative horror adventure title The Green Light to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on July 28. As of yet, no release date has been announced for the Switch version.
Exploring themes of self-discovery, desperation, and the cost of freedom, The Green Light centres around a man named Fred, who is trapped in a dead-end job and weighed down by a life of routine, dissatisfaction, and growing psychological strain. As his reality begins to blur with unsettling hallucinations, a mysterious voice on the radio reaches out to him, speaking of a distant green light that promises freedom and peace.
The voice tells Fred that his escape is waiting at a distant lighthouse, a beacon calling out to him from the darkness. Intrigued by the idea of escape, Fred sets out toward the lighthouse that’s said to hold the answer he has been searching for. But what begins as a search for relief soon turns into a disturbing journey through isolation, obsession, and the fragile boundaries of the human mind.
