New ‘Final Destination 5’ Poster Doesn’t Nail It
The posters for Final Destination 5 have been pretty lackluster so far. Just a skull with the number 5? (that bridge poster sucked too, Photoshop and bullshit never work well together.) You’d figure if they really wanted to make an iconic poster, they’d want to create something that didn’t remind you of the last entry. But, here we are with another skull poster, this time with nails/rebar/whatever flying through its mouth and eye sockets (I’m really starting to think the guys who make these have an ocular fetish). The most interesting thing about the new one-sheet is that the “in 3D” line has gone from being fairly prominent to almost non-existent and tucked away in the corner. That’s definitely not a bad thing… Check past the break for the poster.
In this fifth installment, “Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.”
Death returns on August 12.

‘Obsession’ Makes Streaming Debut on Peacock in One Week
Curry Barker’s Obsession is still playing in theaters and it’s now available on Digital at home, with the physical release set for next week. Also next week? The film’s streaming debut!
Peacock has made the surprising announcement that box office sensation Obsession will already be available for streaming on Peacock beginning next Friday, July 17, 2026.
Obsession was released into theaters just about two months ago and the film has scared up an incredible $406.8 million at the worldwide box office. It’s the highest grossing horror movie of the year so far, and it’s still raking in millions with each passing week.
The production budget for the independently-made Obsession was a reported $750,000, with distributor Focus Features later acquiring the film for a reported $15 million. Needless to say, the film has proven to be massively profitable for Focus, who will no doubt be hungry to turn the horror hit into a horror franchise. Curry Barker has some thoughts on that, however.
Curry Barker is incredibly busy in the wake of Obsession‘s box office success, with his horror-comedy Anything But Ghosts coming soon. He’s also attached to direct the next Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as well as another original horror movie for Universal & Blumhouse.
Stream Obsession on Peacock at home beginning July 17!
In Curry Barker’s theatrical debut Obsession, after breaking the mysterious One Wish Willow to win his crush’s heart, a hopeless romantic finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.
Inde Navarrette (“Superman & Lois”) and Michael Johnston (“Teen Wolf”) star.
