Pounds and Pounds of Hair Cast in ‘Nurse 3D’
High School Musical star Corbin Bleu (who looks to be inspired by Side Show Bob) is set to join Paz De La Huerta and Katrina Bowden in Lionsgate’s Nurse 3D, reports Variety.
De La Huerta (“Boardwalk Empire”) stars as Abby, a nurse who uses her sexuality to indulge a sinister side that finds her punishing dishonest men.
Bleu will play Bowden’s boyfriend, a paramedic at the hospital who becomes entangled in Abby’s murderous web.
According to Lionsgate, the psycho-sexual 3D thriller is inspired by the photography of the company’s chief marketing officer, Tim Palen.
“By day Abby Russell is a dedicated nurse, someone you wouldn’t hesitate to trust your life with. But by night, her real work begins…using her smoldering sexuality she lures cheating men to their brutal deaths and exposes them for who they really are. When a younger nurse starts to suspect Abby’s actions and compromises her master plan, Abby must find a way to outsmart her long enough to bring the cheater you’d least expect to justice.”
J.J. Abrams is directing top secret sci-fi movie The Great Beyond for Warner Bros., which had originally been scheduled for theatrical release on November 13, 2026. But we’ve learned this morning that The Great Beyond has been moved out of this year entirely.
The Great Beyond will now release in theaters and IMAX on October 1, 2027.
Deadline explains, “We understand that there was a test screening of The Great Beyond at the Regal Irvine with Warners deciding that they wanted 70MM Imax prints of the pic. Abrams has been busy editing and was expected to finish post in September. Now, the filmmaker has more time to complete his original Bad Robot opus which he wrote.”
The mysterious film is being described as a science fiction fantasy.
Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday”) and Glen Powell (The Running Man) will star alongside Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Merritt Wever, and Samuel L. Jackson.
