TIFF ’11: See Devon Sawa and Nick Stahl in First Ever ‘388 Arletta Avenue’ Imagery!
Just added to to the line up for the Toronto International Film Festival is Randall Cole’s 388 Arletta Avenue š, the Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Splice) produced horror flick starring Nick Stahl, Mia Kirshner and Devon Sawa. Inside you’ll find the first ever images, one of which brings Final Destination and Idle Hands star Sawa back to our genre!
“Shot from the point of view of hidden cameras, the film follows a thirty-something couple, James and Amy Deakin, as they are secretly videotaped 24/7 by a mysterious stalker in their home, on the streets and at their workplace. The stalker uses information gleaned from the footage to subtly manipulate the unsuspecting couple and cracks in their relationship surface. When Amy suddenly vanishes, James is not sure whether she has been abducted or has simply left him. As the acts of the tormentor become more twisted and violent, James desperately tries to figure out who is behind the terror in order to save his wife. But it seems the stalker is always one move ahead…”

Keanu Reeves Describes Untitled Time Loop Thriller from Director Tim Miller as ‘Groundhog Day’ With Sharks
At one point known as Shiver,Ā Tim Millerās (Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate) next movie doesn’t yet have a title, but star Keanu Reeves offers a very intriguing tease this week.
Chatting with Collider, Reeves explains what drew him to the mysterious upcoming project from director Tim Miller. He tells the outlet, “Sharks. Time machine.Ā Groundhog Day.”
That lines up with early plot details that surfaced earlier this year, with the film said to center on a “smuggler in the middle of a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea.”
That synopsis continued, “Surrounded by bodies, hostile mercenaries, and bloodthirsty sharks, the man finds himself in a time loop and scrambling to break the cycle.”
Callie CookeĀ (āThe Strangerā), Stefan KapiÄiÄĀ (Deadpool), Steven WaddingtonĀ (Sleepy Hollow),Ā Nicholas DuvernayĀ (āThe White Lotusā),Ā Abraham PopoolaĀ (Cruella),Ā Anastasia Safonov, andĀ Bobby Holland HantonĀ (Thor: Love and Thunder) also star.
Ian ShorrĀ (Splinter,Ā Infinite) penned the screenplay for the sci-fi thriller, which had previously been described as having shades ofĀ Edge of TomorrowĀ andĀ The Shallows.
