First Look At Genre Police Thriller ‘Breaking Down’
Bloody Disgusting has your first look at Simon Edwards’ Breaking Down, which stars Tom Knight (Kick Ass 2, A Confident Man), Ben Loyd Holmes (Skyfall, DaVinci’s Demons, Star Wars), Stephanie Siadatan (The Hike, Payback Season), Amy Strange (Homefront, Law & Order), and Winston Ellis (The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean).
In the film, “A family brutally murdered. A cold-blooded killer about to walk free. Officer Tony Jackman (Knight) finds himself under investigation as a judgement call comes back to haunt him. As Detectives Rawlins (Holmes) and Latardo (Siadatan) investigate the multiple homicide, the detectives begin to realise their main suspect has an airtight alibi. Officer Tony Jackman, ashamed of his procedural error that allowed the killer to go free and could cost him his badge, is torn between saving his career, and helping the Detectives put the men responsible away for life.”

We’re exclusively unveiling the new trailer and key art for the real-time nightmare below, ahead of the film’s release in select theaters and VOD on August 21.
Adam O’Brien (Mom) directs from a script by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson.
When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
