Blumhouse came to the rescue and is producing Todd McFarlane‘s long-gestured/promised Spawn reboot, which he’s been scripting for several years. With production allegedly getting underway in early 2018, McFarlane is teasing “big news” in a new tweet that also carries an early scene from the film featuring comic favorite Twitch.
McFarlane has stated in the past that there have been big name actors circling roles, including Jamie Fox, so it will be interesting to see what the big news is. For now, here’s a look at Twitch’s character from the film that McFarlane will also direct.
Interestingly, BBC America recently announced Kevin Smith to write, direct, and executive produce a series based on the Sam and Twitch comic book series. The show, presumably titled “Sam and Twitch,“ will center on the big-city homicide detectives, first introduced in a 1992 issue of “Spawn”, who face a series of super grizzly crimes that are connected to the occult.
