Sure to be just as bland and boring as the Milla Jovovich thriller Faces in the Crowd, Katherine Heigl (Bride of Chucky) will star in Face Blind, an independent thriller “about a psychologist struck with a rare affliction that makes it impossible to distinguish people by their faces. Some incredible news fluttered in our ear as we’ve confirmed that Louise Fletcher (Flowers in the Attic, Exorcist II, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest), Louis Gossett Jr. (Enemy Mine, The Invaders, Jaws 3D), Edward Asner (Up, “The Mod Squad,” “The Invaders,” “Mission: Impossible”), and Nicole Flannigan Fionnula Flanagan (“Lost,” The Others) are all signed on to star inKristoffer Aaron Morgan’s H.P. Lovecraftian The Home, which was penned by both Morgan and AICN writer Eric Vespe. It’s also worth noting that Brian Cox (Red, Rise of the Apes, Trick ‘r Treat) and Cloris Leachman (Young Frankenstein, Lake Placid 2, Scary Movie 2) are both in discussions. Talk about an astounding cast. There are a few other names being tossed around that will knock your socks off, but it’s a bit premature to reveal. The Home unfolds after a young man is nearly killed during a horrible accident that leaves him physically and emotionally scarred. To recuperate, he is taken to a secluded nursing home where the elderly residents appear to be suffering from delusions. But after witnessing a violent attack, he soon realizes that the screams behind the walls are caused by more than hallucinations, and the residents are being preyed upon by twisted, monstrous nightmares that lurk within the home itself.
