In the film, two teenagers come together in 1996 over a Buffy-coded genre TV show called The Pink Opaque. Owen (Justice Smith) is awkward and sheltered, while Maddy (Jack Haven) is wise and determined. They bond over the show and…something else, but things change when Maddy disappears one night.
A decade later, Owen and Maddy reconnect for a single, devastating night when the latter returns to make the former an offer to leave their worldly existence behind. Will Owen accept a once in a lifetime offer, even if it seems scary? Or will he live to regret his choice?
