Anatomy is a really cool movie, with a very intelligent plot and smarter than “Pathology”.
I love this movie 4 everything it’s NOT. It’s in your face honest thriller above average in all counts. Franka Potente’s best preformance since RUN LOLA RUN. It’s an awesome film filled with the right amount of gore. I give Anatomy 9 anti-hippocratic oath’s out of 10 anti-hippocratic oath’s.
What else can you say about a film that has received numerous 9-skull ratings!
Upon renting this film I was convinced that I was in for an uninspired med-student-slasher film with more TnA than plotline. How wrong I was…
Anatomy is intelligent, plot-driven, and mixes graphic horror with Hitchcock suspense. Potente’s character is three-dimensional and her fear is convincing as she kicks ass and takes names. The supporting cast don’t let her down and add much to the film.
Perhaps the most interesting element of the movie is the ethical and political undertones. Who’s to say that there isn’t some underlying element of reality in this movie?
Check it out and see for yourself!
This movie was just ok, I didn’t think it was creepy, gory and very little blood. It was a well made movie for the Sci-Fi channel. I was let down from the great reviews. I guess thats why we all have opinions.
I thought this movie sucked ass. The characters werent likeable and you were just waiting for them to get killed not to mention the whole movie was really boring. Pathology was way better than this.
A movie that doesn’t relay on massive amounts of gore to make an impact, how refreshing! The actors were all very convincing as their characters. Especially Franka Potente’s crazy blonde roommate. Only downfall was that it did drag out in some scenes.
entertaining.
One of the best german movies I have seen. The story is interessting and the actors are good. Also the second part is pretty cool.
This is so much better than the craptastic movie Pathology. It is the same roundabout premise, but the direction and acting is far superior in Anatomy. Sometimes I find it a more rewarding experience to play the movie in the original language with subtitles rather than the voiced-over English, and this is definitely one of them. Franka Potente is such a good actress, and it would ruin the view to not listen to the dialogue in her native tongue. Recommended if you like foreign movies with a good story and good direction.
Dark creepy film intellengtly done to.
not the greatest but it has its perks, besides a great storyline about antihipocrits, its fairly ory and has a good chase scene, worth a watch
For me, the chase scene in the film pushed it from average to good. It’s pretty creepy, the special effects are so-so and are starting to show their age after a decade, but the storyline is solid and the acting is believable.
Far better than pathology.
I never heard of the film “Pathology” like everyone is mentioning in the reviews… I wonder why? Oh, that’s right, cause Anatomy is a kickass film that made me forget to google the movie “Pathology”. It was a little slow, but the storyline and special effects are great.
