The story follows a girl (Heard) who is admitted to a psychiatric ward, meets other girls there with distinct personalities and discovers a mysterious girl haunting the halls at night. With the success of Sony Screen Gems’ Resident Evil: Apocalypse (review #1, #2) in its opening weekend, the movie’s producers and Impact Pictures partners Jeremy Bolt and Paul W. S. Anderson believe that their story leads inexorably to Resident Evil: Afterlife, Anderson tells the Hollywood Reporter, “I always thought of the Resident Evil films as a trilogy,” Anderson told The Hollywood Reporter. “The first film was a prequel to the game world. The new movie intersects the film and game worlds. And the third movie will act as a follow-up to the games. It’s a nice arc — prehistory, in-game and then a sequel to the games.” (more…) READ MORE

Second is for Monster, which is scheduled to open December 24, 2003 in New York City, December 26, 2003 in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
