Jared Harris (From Within, Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Mika Boorem, Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass), Laura-Leigh, Sydney Sweeney, Dan Anderson, Susanna Burney, Sali Sayle will all be joining the previously announced Amber Heard, Danielle Panabaker and Mamie Gummer in John Carpenter’s The Ward, reports the IMDB. The story follows a girl (Heard) who is admitted to a psychiatric ward, meets other girls there with distinct personalities and discovers a mysterious girl haunting the halls at night. ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’ Always Anderson’s Intention

With the success of Sony Screen Gems’ Resident Evil: Apocalypse (review #1, #2) in its opening weekend, the movie’s producers and Impact Pictures partners Jeremy Bolt and Paul W. S. Anderson believe that their story leads inexorably to Resident Evil: Afterlife, Anderson tells the Hollywood Reporter, “I always thought of the Resident Evil films as a trilogy,” Anderson told The Hollywood Reporter. “The first film was a prequel to the game world. The new movie intersects the film and game worlds. And the third movie will act as a follow-up to the games. It’s a nice arc — prehistory, in-game and then a sequel to the games.” (more…) READ MORE

‘Darko’ Director’s Cut Coming Summer 2004!

Film Jerk had a few date changes for us, first off is the re-release of the ultra amazing Donnie Darko: The Director’s Cut, which is set for a Summer 2004 release instead of March. Second is for Monster, which is scheduled to open December 24, 2003 in New York City, December 26, 2003 in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
