Today NECA posted an image of their Jigsaw Killer figure from Lionsgate’s Saw and Saw II in progress over at their official MySpace page. This is one of the most goreous sculpts I’ve seen in a long time over at NECA. The Horror Channel lists al of NECA’s upcoming releases: Cult Classics Series 3 is in stores now, the second series of Resident Evil 4 toys will be shipping out very soon; their 12” Chucky will be out in late May, the Seed of Chucky boxed set is due for June along with CC Series 4 (Shaun, Chucky, Plaid Shirt Zombie, and Sebastian Haff), and Series 5 (Evil Ash, Hannibal, Jigsaw, and an as-yet-to-be-named figure) will hit in August. The laws of life work online too- just because I loved Seed of Chucky doesn’t mean squat. Our regular reviewer Lyle Henretty hated the film giving it only 1 1/2 skulls. If you have seen the trailer for Don Mancini’s Seed of Chucky, you have seen the caption “Britney Spears does not appear in this film.” This is because Britney was upset about a scene in the trailer where the scar-faced doll chases a Spears lookalike, according to 411mania. Last month Britney vetoed a plan for movie-makers to use her breakthrough “…Baby One More Time” hit in a sex scene between two horror dolls. ‘Seed of Chucky’ hits theaters this Friday! I can’t express enough how much it sucks to be a horror fan sometimes- the hype- the excitement- then BOOM, absolutely nothing… For weeks and weeks now we’ve slowly been treated to all sorts of Seed of Chucky goodies from images to the website to standees in theaters, and for what? Just to wait until 2005? According to Film Jerk, Don Mancini’s fifth Child’s Play film abandoned its new November 10th release date for an undetermined 2005 date, which freaking sucks! Why get excited for any of these upcoming horror flicks, they either end up disappointing or just get pushed back and back and back until we get so excited for it- the hype ruins it. Some movies have the ability to sit in limbo for years and then pop on out, such as Seed of Chucky, but I don’t think Spawn has that ability.
