Slither will receive a limited theatrical re-release in the UK on April 10 via Vertigo Releasing before hitting Digital on May 1 and SteelBook 4K UHD on May 18 from Visions Home Video.

No word on a US release at this time. Universal owns the domestic rights, but they licensed the film to Scream Factory for a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray back in 2017.

In the cult classic, an extraterrestrial parasite infect the citizens of a town with the intent of devouring all life forms on Earth, leaving it up to the town sheriff and a local woman to put an end to the monster.

Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Tania Saulnier, Gregg Henry, Michael Rooker, and Jenna Fischer star.

Meagan Navarro wrote in a 2024 editorial, “For all the gross-out gags in Slither, it’s love that saves the day. That central theme of love runs rampant in Gunn’s work and it’s what grounds the filmmaker’s zanier impulses.
