this movie was ok…it had some good suspense and i loved the last 20 minutes of the movie…the best actress in the movie was ali larter and next was beyonce…this movie even had some funny moments and the guy who played ben was sexy as hell….and i loved scout taylor compton being in the movie even though she was only in it for like 5 minutes

Look at the title. Look at the trailers. Look at the TV spots. Obsessed didn’t really look like a great movie in fact it looked kinda terrible but that it may be good in a trashy fun kinda way. And than you see that PG-13 rating yikes how erotic or violent could it possibly be. looks like the kiss of death for this type of film. So with extremely low expectations I entered this film. And you know what it blew me away. Got my adrenaline pumping. It was generic and by the numbers but there’s a reason why they keep making this film over and over again from Fatal Attraction to the Crush to Poison Ivy to Fear and etc. is because if done right it really works. And I loved every trashy moment of it. The people involved with this picture knew exactly what kind of movie they wanted to make and you should know what your entering and you will love it. The setup is simple a evil young woman played impressively by Ali Larter tries to seduce a flirty office manager at her new job. When she’s rejected she becomes obsessed (no pun intended) and starts to pretend they are actually together setting him up for a number of predictable plot twists all leading up so his wife played fantastically by Beyonce Knowles can kick her skinny ass. As for the film here’s the bad it’s not very clever and the cinematography is very TVmoviesh, the soundtrack is pretty terrible and unfitting and of course you know the plot just isn’t very new or surprising which actually doesn’t make it any less shocking when things happen. Now heres the good. the performances are really good for this type of film Ali Larter gives her psycho real three dimensional roots you never doubt her insanity and you see how it slowly grows. It’s definitely a progression of tension between the slight flirting, sordid comments leading up to an agressive sexual assualt and etc. The one thing that is compelling in that plotting is how developed it all is and how detailed. That being said the star performance her is Beyonce although she is uneven at some points when she becomes the strong charachter in the film. She’s absolutely captivating and she has some real melodramatic, tear inducing emotional sequences energized by wife power and feminism. There are moments that although ridiculously cheesy wanna make you stand up and clap. She’s a real powerhouse. And the film really should’nt be picked apart its just extremely entertaining from the overly melodramatic plot twists to the fantastically choreographed girl fight finale that rivals and exceeds Single White Females. Obsessed may not bring anything new to the table but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with visiting simplistic material if executed properly and trust me Obsessed is packed with bitch one liners, hair flips and head ups and if thats your thing, because its definitely mine, rush out and see it now!
100% agree with truchainsaw28! This movie was definitely a pleaasant suprise! I thought through the movie “man Ali is killing this role! She has done some great stuff but I believe its her best performance!!!” Then Beyonce BLOWS it away too ESPECIALLY in the last 20 minutes! She terns badass crazy bitch on Ali! The fight sequence between the two is unreal! Awesome, the best since prolly Single White Female!And just all the tension that leads to the incredible ending is awesome! No this movie is NOTHING new but if anything it brought me back to the old thrillers I grew up watching! Go see it and you will enjoy! The actresses alone make the movie incredible!
Sure I watched it for Ali, and the majority of the theater saw it for Beyonce. But hey, Beyonce actually did a well enough job to keep me entertained. I didn’t expect much from her either. The movie was boring at times, but caught back up. The ending was Cheesy, and I now see why Beyonce wants to play Wonder Woman, but anyway! Obsessed was a good movie, and I can’t wait until the DVD.

better than i expected
This movie was terrible. It screamed Fatal Attraction meets The Hand That Rocks The Cradle. Beyonce became more and more ghetto as the movie progressed and the only redeeming factor of the film was Ali Larter.
I actually enjoyed Obsessed for what it was. A good campy entertaining ride. It didnt take itself serious and it had some crazy moments and hilarious moments. The conclusion was definitely the most funa and campy time in the theater in awhile. Everyone will cheer at the end. Go see this movie

A pretty bad movie that has a slightly promising beginning and lets it go after then.
For a movie this bad, I actually laughed my ass off throughout the whole thing. I got dragged into seeing this with the girlfriend… and she absolutely hated it. The movie was extremely predictable, and ended up being a waste of Ali Larter’s hotness and a vehicle to showcase Beyonce beating up a white girl. But like I said: funny as hell. Probably the most unintentional comedy of the year.

This Movie was actually good beyonce was awesome in this movie and ali larter did good in this movie too it was a good movie it kept me staying up and it mad me laugh a little the emotions that the actresses did and the actors did was good. Some of the scenes was kinda boring but the ending was good the fight scene really mad me excited it really mad my heart pump faster at the end when ali was hanging from the ceiling, I loved it was worth seeing in theatres and I really can’t wait till it comes out on dvd.
My opinion is that This movie should have never even been made, it was a waste of money, & I don’t care how famous Beyonce is, how Musically talented she is, That Does Not Make Her A Good Actress. She was horrible in This film. Her character just wasn’t convincing at all, Ali Larter totally Trumps her Big Time. There better not be A #2 because THAT would be ”Milking A Dead Cow”.
This movie isn’t as bad as everybody is making it out to be. Sure it’s cliche, but so is the rest of hollywood. Sure it’s dumb with some minor moment.s But other then that it’s a good way to kill some time.

I don’t understand how this movie is considered horror. I mean sure it’s pretty creepy at the fact that a women is sneaking into your home and pretending to be your wife while you are away and making up this huge sequence in your head about how you and this married man are so deep into this fake affair that noone ends up believing you. Obsessed is just like any other movie that involves obsession, it’s boring, creepy at times and generally pisses you off (depending). For what it was this movie was decent. Beyonce did better than I thought she would and most of the movie was startling if only for a minute and Ali Larters’ dialogue was pretty twisted. But there was no thrill or horror. The end was even stupid, the way it ended up was disappointing and I wish I could tell you but I’m sure you’ll find out eventually. It’s not a bad movie to watch because for the most part it’s decent but as for everything else I’ve mentioned generally leads to boredom. This movie isn’t a horror movie though.
Sorta surprised that I can even review this movie here! Yes it is filled with cliches and some dumb dialogue but I liked the bitchiness of it all! Put me in the mind of the Whatever Happend To Baby Jane? movie and its clones which I personally love! Or maybe the modern day twist of the superb performances of Glenn Close and Anne Archer in the final show down of fatal Attraction only dumbed waaaay down.

worst movie detective ever.
I thought this was a really good movie! It had a great storyline and great actors! It was awesome to see Scout Taylor-Compton from Rob Zombie’s Halloween make a cameo! Derek Charles has the perfect life, until he meets Lisa Sheridan who becomes completely obsessed with him and ruins his life. It started as friendly conversation in the elevator to Lisa trying to make out with him at the office Christmas party. When Lisa tries to commit suicide, Derek’s wife, Sharon finds out and begins to think Derek is having an affair. 3 months later, Sharon forgives him, then Lisa comes back to take what she thinks is hers! I highly recommend OBSESSED!!!
Honestly, I saw this movie just for Ali Larter. She’s an incredible amazing full-talented actress. Idris Elba plays a good character and other actors like erry O’Conell and Scot Taylor-Compton are great too. The story i very typical, and if you have seen trailer, you have already seen half movie. But it’s good and it’s very entertaining. (Repeat: See a Goddess like Ali Larter playing a B!tch it’s a pleasure for the eyes…)
The only thing that fails (not just the fact that the movie it’s so typical) is Beyoncé Knowles (WTF) Can’t she play in a movie of someone who appears like 10 minutes die??? Kelly Rowland do it; Stacy “Fergie grrrr” Ferguson do it; Ashanti do it… Why she can’t just sing??? (Sorry, I think I hate a little bit Beyoncé:))

It was good but far from Horror.
This was like a combination of The Crush and Fatal Attraction but not nearly as good as either of them, it just wasn’t extreme enough to be thrilling or disturbing and a movie of this kind should be rated R or it will be hard for it to work. They could of done more stuff with it but it was limited because of the PG-13 rating and it borrowed from too many movies of it’s kind which makes it very forgettable. I thought the acting was ok and Beyonce Knowles was the only stand out but they really didn’t have a great script to work with and the filming was slick but I found most of the songs though good didn’t quite match the mood of the picture and it really didn’t have you on the edge of your seat. The best part of the movie was the final all out fight scene between Beyonce Knowles and Ali Larter but I thought it wasn’t long enough or extreme enough and I thought the chandelier part reminded me of The War Of The Roses. Overall an alright but too tame stalker/thriller that could of been much better but it was lackluster for me. Skip it!
Not exactly what I would call a horror movie. It’s more of a thriller with a tame PG-13 rating. Although this movie had a terribly predictable plot the acting is better than expected. I was disappointed in how predictable I found the plot to be, but it was entertaining. If you’re curious about the movie I would definitely say rent it.
Obsessed-The movie is pretty predictable, Beyonce knowles Acting was okay, but.. Ali larter was kind of not what i was Expecting.The dialogue was horrid which ruined my time. Idris Elba was pretty good. I didnt really focus on him though. It was mostly the Tension between Larter and knowles. If it wasnt for the last 20 min. I would give this a 4/10. But Lucky this. I give it a passing score of 6/10!

Checked this flick out with the wife last night. Actually, Im surprised this is even listed on BD.
With that said, I found it dragged on a little bit. There was probably a good 1/2-hour of film that wasn’t needed and should’ve been edited out.
Beyonce has a real cheesy line at one part. Other then that and the length, I didn’t find it TOO bad. Its an ok movie to check out with the wife or ladyfriend.
Not Horror at all but more of a whore movie (Ali Larter). Beyonce’s acting was like a roller coaster up and down. Not as bad as I thought is would be but still not anything I would really recommend!
I rented this thinking that I’d have a good laugh at how terrible it is. Honestly, I have to say I was disappointed by the fact that it wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. All in all it was decent film. Sure, the acting was terible and it was soooo toned down that it took away from what could have potentially been an edge-of-your-seat kinda film. Meh, it was ok. Not something I’d ever watch again though.
For a psychotic thriller, it’s very entertaining and pretty good throughout. The catfight is pretty epic, and Ali Larter steals the show. The plot is unoriginal, as expected, but the film isn’t anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be. The only main flaw with the film is the lack of characterization/relationship/backstory between Lisa and Derek.

An entertaining film with a sexy cast, but it just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. The lead male comes off as a complete idiot for not telling people (especially his wife!) about the crazy chick stalking him, and there’s just no valid reason give as to why he would keep such secrets either. Ali Larter was made for this role though…she portrays a psycho sex pot like it’s in her blood! Beyonce is entertaining as the scorned wife, but it gets a little silly with her stereotypical “sassy black woman attitude” remarks during her otherwise cool fight. Her zings just seemed cliched.
I recommend seeing it, but don’t expect too much and it won’t disappoint badly.

Awesome film! I love Ali Larter and Beyonce. They both did an amazing job! Happy to see Scout Taylor-Compton, too! This film has a lot of hate to it, but I loved it a lot. It is one of the best thrillers I’ve ever seen.
