All i can say is F*CK THAT REVIEW!!! Does anyone on this damn website even like horror??? All i ever read is bashing on classic cheese films, or bashing on descent films…and praise for B.S.!!! All of this while being flashed by stupid ad’s for the Friday the 13th remake, The Unborn, The Uninvited, Mirrors..etc…in other words…crap that sucks…and that you’ll bash as soon as the ad’s are over!!? Ghoulies may not be the cream of the crop…but it’s 1985 cheese that’s still far better fun to watch then the slew of crap that we are flooded with! And to call John Carl Buechler a hack…well…that’s f*cked up…he’s done alot for the horror fans…more than this site will ever offer!

100% agree with Dr. Hyde. This ain’t no ‘Gone with the Wind’ or anything – but that’s exactly why I dig it. This is the epitome of 80′s cheese horror in all of it’s awesome glory.

I couldn’t even make it all the way through this one. It stunk like feet wrapped in cheese, in shoes of feces.

I can’t tell if this was suppose to be comdedy or if the cast and crew knew they had a shit script and just had fun with it because it was fucking FUNNY!

Only if the little green dude was rocking the suspenders in the poster would the movie had been any better.

“My name is Dick (cracks open beer can) but you can call me Dick.”

Undoubtedly one of the silliest “horror” flicks from the 80s, of course produced by schlock-meister Charles Band. A super-cheesy kinda-creature-feature, pointless and totally ridiculous, but at least mildly entertaining.

It’s hardly tense or thrilling, but rather unintentionally hilarious. The plot is terrible and full of holes. Many of the special effects are extremely shoody-looking and the acting is below-average.

Still, it has its moments: the Ghoulies all look pretty fun, there are some nice death scenes and the party at the beginning is sooo 80s, you just have to love it
(incl. one of the goofiest one-liners of all time:
“They call me Dick, but you can call me… (opens a beer can) …Dick!” – LOL).

If you like it campy, then this is definitely your movie.
