‘Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR’ Will Now Release on GOG.com on July 20th [Trailer]

After having the banhammer come down on Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR back in April, developer Madmind has announced that they’re going a different route to get the game to fans. That route involves GOG.com, which will release Hellish Orgy VR on July 20th.

In anticipation of the upcoming release, Madmind has also unveiled a new trailer touting the release date for Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR. The trailer also includes a not-so-subtle dig at Steam and Valve for blocking the game from sale on the platform.

“Game censorship is never met with favourable opinions from players, and as developers, we are often forced to cut or modify entire scenes to meet strict censoring requirements,” stated Madmind Studio in a press release. “That’s why we are especially thrilled that our adult-oriented game has gained the opportunity to premiere on GOG.com.”

The developer has gone so far as to acknowledge those who bought Succubus on PlayStation, which also features a bit of censorship. Well, that will no longer be the case. “[Madmind] has also supported the team responsible for the console port of Succubus – Console Labs S.A. – by modifying the form of censorship in the console version (removal of pixelation). The developer will soon release the anticipated changes in the form of a free patch for the PS4/PS5 version.”

Succubus put players in the role of Vydija, a succubus (and Queen) that is currently seeking revenge on Baphomet, a demon planning to usurp Nimrod (aka the player’s character from Madmind’s Agony), the current ruler of Hell. For Hellish Orgy VR, players take on the role of a servant to Queen Vydija, and are tasked to do everything to satisfy her macabre desires.
