Electronic Arts Inc. and Anchor Bay Entertainment is gearing up for another Dead Space animated movie, Dead Space Aftermath, which will be available on January 25 to coincide with the release of the highly anticipated videogame, “Dead Space 2.” Coming from the award-winning game development team and the 2008 animated feature production company, Dead Space Aftermath will feature several internationally renowned animation directors that use their unique and bold visions to explain what happened during the first-responder mission to Aegis VII. The directors will do this through the perspective of four survivors in this fast-paced horrifying thrill ride that stretches the limits of time and space. Check out three clips inside. In the same vein as Dead Space: Downfall, Starz Entertainment is releasing an animated feature film for Dante’s Inferno to arrive alongside EA’s much anticipated video game. “Inferno” will mirror the game’s plot and follow Dante’s journey through the nine circles of Hell — limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery — in search of his true love, Beatrice. Didja enjoy a little of that animated Dead Space: Downfall feature from Anchor Bay and Starz? If so, they have more video game adaptations up their sleeve as Electronic Arts and Starz Media are readying their second animated feature, Dante’s Inferno, based on the videogame bowing next year. The most exciting reveal to come out of this weekend’s New York Toy Fair thus far is NECA’s action figure version of our hero from EA’s Dead Space video game.
