A fun,ultra-low budget 80′s throwback. Totally tongue in cheek; you can tell the actors all had a blast with their roles, especially the two dudes. The horror elements are pretty much confined to the last twenty minutes or so, but I didn’t mind. There’s one totally top notch kill and a surprising twist at the end. Recommended.
Makers of low budget grindhouse throwbacks stand up and take notice. This is THE benchmark film on which all low budget horror should be judged. Pretty much every aspect of this movie is flawless. It actually looks more 80s than the 80s! Gore-check, scares-check, laughs?-hell yes!, brilliant casting of great no name actors-check, tits-check! SEE THIS MOVIE!! Preferably baked..
Absolutely top notch. As a graduate of the class of 1989, I can vouch that the filmakers “got” every aspect of the late 80′s. This is ultra-low budge at its very, very best: we get hilarious, semi-serious acting, (some) gore, drug and alcohol abuse, and breasteses! The characters are likeable to a fault, even the sex obsessed dude (who tries to lay his rap on everyone, including his best friend’s mom)… yet gets no action by partying and then passing out on the ground. These people remind me of characters that I partied with during this era. Yep, plot holes and painful dialoge abound, but are not only excusable, but mandatory to make this gem what it is. Kudos to the writer/director, I look forward to what he comes up with next.
