See it, great gore and some awesome over the top kills. Can you say trash compacter
Not the best slasher but worth the watch and if you can find a used copy an easy add to the collection.
I respect the opinion of the BD reviewer for this film. I think however, he should have not given away what the red herring was out of respect for anyone new to the movie. A “spoiler” warning should have placed before giving this aspect of the film away.
With that aside, Intruder to me was a very energetically made film. If you think a slasher movie which takes place in a supermarket can’t be pulled off, you’re in for a surprise because this one packs a wallop. Its funny, fast-paced & outrageous in the FX department. The director’s odd POV shots combined with a cast who are clearly having fun with the material make for a nice trip down 80′s horror memorable lane. Very highly recommended. Final note: The Prowler is worth watching as well. Happy Hunting.
This is definitely a case where I sat through a a movie that is complete shit simply because of the people involved. The acting is horrible, the scenes drag on with absurd shots and poor dialogue, but I still can’t help but hang on to it. I don’t think this film comes even close to comparison of films like “The Burning” “Maniac” and even the lackluster film “The prowler”, but I’m a slasher fan through and through. Slasherflick fans need only apply.
