Room 237 is a documentary about Stanley Kubrick and his film The Shining. If you are a fan of Kubrick, this is a must see. It is incredibly interesting how historians have dissected The Shining to find the loads of symbolism, hidden secrets, layers of details and all the subliminal messages within the film. After watching Room 237, you’ll understand that Kubrick was to film what Leonardo Da Vinci was to painting. Although parts of this documentary get a little slow, because there is an overwhelming amount of detail, it’s easy to feel like your head is about to explode. But just try to power through the complex parts because the secrets and facts are so interesting. If you have a soft spot for Kubrick or you saw The Shining and something about it rubbed you the wrong way, you’ll want to watch Room 237 to find out why.
