Terrible movie. I enjoy “found footage” movies for the most part, but this one was pretty bad. The main reason being this annoying little girl who is front and center during most of the movie. OMG she is annoying! Not to mention the people’s reactions to being filmed by said little girl is completely unrealistic. The first twenty minutes of so take place on an airplane, and she roams around shoving the damn camera into EVERY face she can find while adding annoying quips, all of which would surely piss off most people in the real world. But not here, no…everyone smiles and waves and talks to her like they are old friends. Seriously? This is a New Years Eve flight from New York to L.A. (If I remember correctly), and people are not going to be that cheerful. Absurd movie. Things were a little better during the dinosaur attacks, but there was a tiny budget so not much is ever shown. Yes, dinosaurs. There, you know what the creature is, so there’s no need to watch it!

I was expecting this to be awful, but it did hold my attention for the duration. You won’t see any gore, besides blood smears (that never dry) and twisted ankles. You will, on the other hand, get to ride along with a highly dysfunctional group of plane crash survivors that constantly argue among each other… and occasionally deal with the creatures picking them off. While the character development is a little disorganized, I do appreciate the effort, especially with the drunk, stressed dude. Many people seem to find this annoying, so your mileage may vary. It is stunningly obvious that there was not much of a budget, as well as a whole lot of freestyle acting afoot, and I think the result is more or less commendable, considering.
