Horror Sequels

Arrow Video has announced that they will be releasing Hellraiser: The Scarlet Box to US audiences this Winter. The set will feature the first three Hellraiser films, plus an additional 200-page hardcover book from Phil and Sarah Stokes, the archivists for Clive Barker.

The set will feature 2k restorations of each of the films plus a massive slew of extras, including audio commentaries, making-of featurettes, interviews with the cast and crew, features on the music of the series (and what might’ve been), and much, much more. It honestly looks like the definitive Hellraiser collection for those who want the first three movies.

Admittedly, the fourth film, Hellraiser IV: Bloodline, isn’t present, which essentially ends the story presented in the first three films. Still, what we’re getting looks rather glorious.

Hellraiser: The Scarlet Box will be released on December 13th.

With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
