As a kid, I loved watching Scooby Doo. It was a great way to enjoy something based on horror and mystery while not being too frightening for a 4-year old.
Over the past several years, there’s been this trend of rebooting a title with a really gritty and serious tone. Things like Batman and Transformers are examples of cartoony titles that went down some really dark paths.
And now Jeff Zoet Visuals is imagining a world where Scooby Doo gets that same treatment and has to take on a ton of zombies! In fact, he took some pictures of the “Mystery Incorporated” gang to show what they would look like in this apocalyptic setting.
To be 100% clear, this is not officially happening. Jeff Zoet is a freelance artist, photographer, editor, cinematographer, and more, who put this together as part of a photo shoot, nothing more. However, after seeing the look that he’s got going on, I’d be all for a studio giving him some money and letting him go hog wild with this concept!
