April 27th is Administrative Professionals Day, and the new Ghostbusters’ assistant, Kevin (Chris Hemsworth), is here to remind you to celebrate your assistant tomorrow.
The below video offers an in-depth look at Kevin, who is described as a Ken doll with the insides scooped out. He’s an absolute moron, and from the looks of it will provide the film’s comic relief, assuming Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), and Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) all fail at providing it themselves.
Frankly, the more footage I see, the less thrilled I am. I like that the new Ghostbusters has all the bells and whistles, including sound designs from the original films, but the comedic tone here just seems as stupid as Hemsworth’s character.
There’s still a long ways to the July 15th release, so let’s see what else is unveiled leading up to then. Hopefully we aren’t about to get slimed…
