Two days ago, we posted a video interview done with horror legend John Carpenter that was conducted this past April at the New York Film Academy. In that video, Carpenter had some rather strong words for Rob Zombie and his remake of the classic slasher film Halloween.
“He lied about me. He said I was very cold to him when he told me he was going to make it. Nothing could be further from the truth. I said, ‘Make it your own movie, man. This is yours now. Don’t worry about me.’ I was incredibly supportive. Why that piece of shit lied, I don’t know,” told the student crowd.

The resurgence of this video and these words blasted throughout the horror community and it everyone was waiting with baited breath to hear what Zombie would say about these words. However, it’s not Zombie that’s clearing the air, it’s Carpenter himself!
Taking to Twitter, Carpenter explains that the two, “…spoke Sunday” and that they “…buried the hatchet.” So there you go. So ends the brief spat between the two. As Carpenter says, “Let’s move on.”
To everyone fascinated with the JC/RZ feud, old news. We spoke Sunday, we buried the hatchet. Let's move on.
