This year is the year of alcohol collaborations for big time horror icons, with Ghostface joining forces with Angry Orchard and Michael Myers teaming up with Voodoo Ranger. What about Jason Voorhees? After last year’s collab with Angry Orchard, Jason is now slaying with Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Food Beast has revealed this afternoon that Pabst Blue Ribbon has joined forces with the Jason Universe for a limited edition 12-pack of PBR beer emblazoned with Jason’s iconic mask.
The outlet details, “Pabst Blue Ribbon is teaming up with Horror Inc. for a limited-edition Jason Voorhees collaboration that turns its 12-pack packaging into a wearable version of the slasher icon’s hockey mask. You can cut the mask out of the box or, apparently, throw the whole damn 12-pack over your head and be IG photo dump ready.”
“Along with the wearable packaging,” Food Beast continues, “fans can expect a collection of Jason-themed apparel, glassware, koozies, tap handles, tackers, and bobbleheads.”
The campaign rolls out in stores in September and will run through November 13, with Food Beast noting that some stores will get standees, and some bars will even get Jason tap handles.
