Iconic Horror Movie Posters Get a WWE Makeover!

I’d pay so much money to see Braun of the Dead. So much.

Want to see something really scary? In celebration of Halloween, WWE.com has taken six iconic horror movie posters and remade them as star vehicles for their top superstars!

Here’s what they came up with.

Night of the Living Deadman, starring The Undertaker…

“A group takes shelter in an abandoned house when a Deadman long thought perished rises from the grave in search of souls to devour. Can they stay alive, or will this supernatural being steal their souls one-by-one and trap them in his mystical urn?”

Braun of the Dead, starring Braun Strowman…

“When Roman Reigns’ quiet town is invaded by a seven-foot zombie, The Big Dog must make a stand against the grotesque Monster Among Men and sacrifice everything to protect his yard.”

Doink, starring Doink the Clown…

“When a sinister clown begins to terrorize the WWE locker room, Superstars come together to bring an end to the evil. Can they stop Doink before he pulls off the ultimate prank?”

Evil Dean, starring Dean Ambrose…

“During a romantic getaway in a secluded cabin in the woods, Dean Ambrose and Renee Young unknowingly read from the Book of the Dead, unleashing demons and evil spirits all around them. Lucky for Renee, she’s with the only lunatic willing to take on a whole army of the undead all by himself.”

The Eater of the Worlds, starring Bray Wyatt…

“While investigating the horrifying Sister Abigail incidents, FBI agent Finn Bálor consults Dr. Bray Wyatt, a brilliant psychiatrist who is serving a life sentence for the horrible actions of his strange cult. Bálor believes Wyatt may know a way to solve his case, but Wyatt first wants the FBI agent to unleash the demon inside of him.”

The Ring, starring Alexa Bliss…

“According to urban legend, there is an old videotape of a defunct wrestling promotion filled with nightmarish images. Watching the tape leads to a call foretelling that the viewer must compete in exactly seven days or perish. Alexa Bliss is skeptical of the story until she presses play and the phone rings.”

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

Dev Patel’s ‘Monkey Man’ Is Now Available to Watch at Home!

After pulling in $28 million at the worldwide box office this month, director (and star) Dev Patel’s critically acclaimed action-thriller Monkey Man is now available to watch at home.

You can rent Monkey Man for $19.99 or digitally purchase the film for $24.99!

Monkey Man is currently 88% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with Bloody Disgusting’s head critic Meagan Navarro awarding the film 4.5/5 stars in her review out of SXSW back in March.

Meagan raves, “While the violence onscreen is palpable and painful, it’s not just the exquisite fight choreography and thrilling action set pieces that set Monkey Man apart but also its political consciousness, unique narrative structure, and myth-making scale.”

“While Monkey Man pays tribute to all of the action genre’s greats, from the Indonesian action classics to Korean revenge cinema and even a John Wick joke or two, Dev Patel’s cultural spin and unique narrative structure leave behind all influences in the dust for new terrain,” Meagan’s review continues.

She adds, “Monkey Man presents Dev Patel as a new action hero, a tenacious underdog with a penetrating stare who bites, bludgeons, and stabs his way through bodies to gloriously bloody excess. More excitingly, the film introduces Patel as a strong visionary right out of the gate.”

Inspired by the legend of Hanuman, Monkey Man stars Patel as Kid, an anonymous young man who ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club where, night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he is beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash. After years of suppressed rage, Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him.

Monkey Man is produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions.
