You Can Now Buy a 3D Printed Copy of Screen Used Mrs. Voorhees Head!

The Carl Fullerton-created prop of Mrs. Voorhees’ head from Friday the 13th: Part 2, a centerpiece of the franchise, was recently acquired by fan Jason Farrell, who had it restored to its former glory. As we told you earlier this year, Farrell was making 3D-printed copies available to fellow Friday fans, and he’s come through on the promise!

Farrell provided an update on the project today, revealing that he’s now offering a limited number of resin castings of a high-definition SLS 3D print of the screen-used head!

I acquired the movie head in November 2015 from Lloyd Albin, who owned the summer camp that Friday the 13th part 2 was filmed at back in September 1980,” Farrell writes. “As Lloyd explained, the head was left in a net hanging from a tree on his property after a wrap party attended by the film’s cast and crew. Lloyd kept it for 35 years, taking it out occasionally to scare his campers.”

I’m offering a run of 10 copies pulled in black resin, painted using the screen-used head as a reference so they will be exact reproductions,” he adds. “No blanks will be offered. Each piece will come with a screen-accurate wig, styled to look like the originalI expect this run to fill up pretty fast, but if there is sufficient demand, I will do a second run of 10. After that, the mold will be destroyed.”

The cost? $475, plus shipping. To order, you can email farrelljm1122@hotmail.com.

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
