Marilyn Manson Premieres NSFW Clip From “Say10” Music Video

A clip from Marilyn Manson‘s upcoming music video for “Say10”, the title track from his forthcoming album, has been released and it bears all the hallmarks of a Manson video. Slow motion, Manson looking creepy, torn Bible pages flying through the air, and shocking visuals all combine in the video, which is directed by Tyler Shields.

Manson released this clip as a way of commenting on the American election, which is currently pulling voters from across the country. Talking with The Daily Beast, Manson explains:

Either way tomorrow goes, the visuals are meant to create contemplation. Because it’s obviously bigger than just tomorrow. It’s about the desperate acts of people who believe something that is preached by an unbeliever.”

“Right now we’re in such a state of confusion when it comes to religion, politics, sexuality, and how they all tie together, and it’s being turned into a circus and a sideshow—and that’s something that I’ve been described as a ringleader of. It seems like a time for me as an artist, and as an American artist, to make something that causes a new set of questions to arise that aren’t simply statements.

The video is said to be coming out later this year while Say10 will be released just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 17th, 2017. It follows 2015’s The Pale Emperor (review).

Oh so shocking, Marilyn, you rip up a Bible. Hardcore. That’ll show them,
Now, Mr Manson, if you’re so “anti Religion” do the same thing with a Quran.
    No?
    It’s as if you’re fake.

    • I love Manson but this I approve.

Accept the challenge, Marilyn. Burn the Quran. I mean…you are hardcore, aren’t you?

Maybe it should be a thing with metal artists (especially in the Black Metal scene) – The Quran Tearing Challenge.
        Do it for charity!

    • I doubt the average American knows what the Quran is, at least by its name. Manson is catering to a target demographic.

It’s as if he’s trying to sell a product.

I actually like his music, so I’m not having a go at him for that.
The truth is that I was disappointed when I discovered that he really wasn’t the god of fuck…….

Art has to have context to have integrity. Manson is the “antichrist superstar” because he himself was raised christian in America and his formative experiences were with that religion in that environment. For him to adopt commentary on the Quran would be appropriating a hollow stance for the sake of being combative. THAT would be fake because the Quran isn’t part of who he is.

  • Love it. He still ENTERTAINS me. Waiting for the full video & album.

  • I hope the new album to be awesome. After the FANTASTIC pale emperor…he really stepped up his game. I had him as a has been but his collaboration with Tyler Bates proved great. Not a single song is a filler. Let’s see what ‘SAY10’ will do

I wonder if there is more than meets the eye going on here? Like the shape of the blood splat (similar to how Argento said the witch blood in Suspiria was meant to be a clue). There are also tire tracks under the body for some reason.
