Is This The Future Of Concert Tours And Ticket Pricing?

Radiohead revolutionized the music industry world when they announced that their album, ‘In Rainbows‘, was going to be released via the Internet AND that people could name their own price. Well, that concept is now hitting the concert ticket world.

Ace Enders aka I Can Make A Mess is gearing up for a tour with Mansions and Into It Over It (tour dates after the jump) where fans can select the amount they want to pay for their ticket online. The price ranges from $5 to $25 in $5 increments. Personally, I’m not sure if this is the best idea. With albums, you understand how much time, effort and creativity goes into such a creation. However, not a lot of people realize just how much goes behind a tour. There’s the gas, food, lodging, clothing, roadies, gear, etc… that is all unseen by the everyday concert goer.
What do you all think? Is this something that intrigues you or would you rather just pay a flat rate so you don’t have to think about it?
