Remember the trailer below? Of fucking course you do. It’s incredible. It changed lives. Millions of lives. Well, Dead Island, Axis, and Deep Silver’s trailer took gold at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It won the gold in the internet film category, which went from hundreds of choices, down to 41, down to Dead Island.
I think that’s great, the trailer is incredible and they damn sure deserved to win something for it. More past the break. ‘We are overwhelmed to see the Dead Island trailer pick up an award at an even as prestigious as the Cannes Lions’ said Axis Executive Producer, Richard Scott.
‘It goes to prove that the dedication shown by director Stuart Aitken and all of the Axis team has really paid off. I also want to give great credit to all the Deep Silver team because without their daring strategy and belief in what we could do this project could have been so different’ Scott continued.
Dead Island will FINALLY be out September 6th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
