This is a two-parter, so you have not one, but two things to be happy about. The first is the news that EA’s currently on the hunt for three senior positions related to the Dead Space franchise. On the Gamasutra job board they’re asking for an Audio Director, Senior VFX Artist, and a Senior Development Director. Obviously, Dead Space 3 is a given, it’s only a matter of time, but this might be something else, perhaps an Extraction-like spin-off?
For those of you who like to play your games on a computer and haven’t yet experienced the terrifying orgasm of blood and flailing limbs that is the Dead Space series, Steam has some fantastic deals for both Dead Space and its sequel as a part of their summer camp sale (it ends tomorrow!). You can get Dead Space for $9.99, Dead Space 2 for $14.99, or get them both for $19.99. But really, if you haven’t played these games yet than you’re obviously certifiable, I mean, come on, they’re just so good.
