Monterey Media Teaching ‘How To Be A Serial Killer’

Monterey Media is thrilled to announce the acquisition of How To Be A Serial Killer (trailer), written and directed by Luke Ricci, from Matador Pictures for US and Canadian distribution. As an official selection at the New York City Horror Film festival, the film’s lead Dameon Clarke was honored as the recipient of the festival’s Best Actor Award. How To Be A Serial Killer will creep into theatres during late summer, followed by the DVD release set for October 13th, of course.
How to Be A Serial Killer is the story of Mike Wilson, a charismatic, educated, and articulate young man who has found his life’s purpose in exterminating people. Mike is determined to spread his message about the joy of serial killing and recruits a lost soul named Bart to be his pupil. Mike leads Bart through the ethics of serial killing as well as teaching him various lessons in disposing corpses, balancing work and play, methods of killing, and many many more. Mike and Bart’s curriculum is interrupted when Mikes girlfriend discovers what’s beneath her boyfriend’s charming exterior and Mike and Bart must kill their way out of being discovered by the cops.

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil.
