How quickly the hype behind a film grows. I went from delivering a series of deep sighs to being off-the-chart excited over the course of the past few months. After seeing Mirrors, it was hard for me to get behind Alex Aja (even after the incredible High Tension), but I seriously think his remake of Piranha 3D is going to be mind-blowing. Not only is it 3-D, but it features one helluva fun cast and promises more gore than Kill Bill. Sure, it’s easy to say that, but to prove it another. Thanks to B-D reader ‘Ghengis Tron’ who delivered B-D an exclusive look at some behind-the-scenes photos that are sure to immediately change your view of Dimension’s latest. The blood WILL flow come March 19, 2010.
Jaws… lots and lots of jaws. From acclaimed director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) comes the new action thriller PIRANHA 3D, in the latest eye-popping 3D technology.
A new type of terror is about to be cut loose on beautiful Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents. But our heroine (Elisabeth Shue) is seriously outnumbered, and with only one chance to save the lake and her family from totally being devoured, she must risk everything to destroy the aquatic carnivores herself.
Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Richard Dreyfuss, Dina Meyer, Brooklynn Proulx, Quinn Lord, Riley Steele, Jessica Szohr, Jerry O’Connell, Paul Scheer, Cody Longo, Riley Steele, Eli Roth all star.
