TIFF ’09: First Images from Joe Dante’s ‘The Hole’

Having its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next month is Joe Dante’s The Hole, his 3-D family horror fantasy film we’ve been covering pretty closely here on the site. We’re told horror fans should expect a family styled horror film, which is very true to most of Dante’s films. Knowing is half the battle (no I didn’t, oh no I didn’t!). Below you’ll find the first ever images, with a trailer to follow soon (hopefully). After moving into a new town, brothers Dane and Lucas and their neighbour Julie discover a bottomless hole in their basement that brings their nightmares to life. With shadows lurking around every corner, they must face their darkest fears in order to put an end to the mystery of the hole. Keep up with all of our TIFF coverage by clicking here. Now read on for the stills.
