Rumors have flooded the web of a new release date for Christian Alvart’s long-delayed Case 39, which stars Renee Zellweger as an idealistic social worker who saves an abused 10-year-old girl (Jodelle Ferland from Silent Hill) from her parents only to discover that things are not as they appear. Case 39, a film which Paramount decided to make instead of a third Ring, was supposed to be their new blockbuster horror franchise, instead it has been sitting on the shelf for well over three years. Could we be spending New Year’s with Paramount’s bastard child of a horror movie? Mark January 1, 2010 on your calendars, you’re not going to want to miss this disaster. Click here for two early reviews. Christian Alvart’s Pandorum hits theaters tomorrow.
