Rumors have flooded the web of a new release date for Christian Alvart’s long-delayed Case 39, which stars Renee Zellweger as an idealistic social worker who saves an abused 10-year-old girl (Jodelle Ferland from Silent Hill) from her parents only to discover that things are not as they appear. Case 39, a film which Paramount decided to make instead of a third Ring, was supposed to be their new blockbuster horror franchise, instead it has been sitting on the shelf for well over three years.
